Rotella, Domenico
(10/7/1918 Catanzaro-1/8/ 2006 Milan) (Italy / France); aka Mimmo / Rotella, Mimmo
   Painter, sculptor, poster designer, collagist, and poet. Studied at the Naples Art Academy. Artistically active since 1949, he has been involved in the Nouveau Realisme movement, as well as being associated with the French Affichistes and Arte Povera. Credited with being the inventor of the decollage (dadaist creation of posters by using torn posters). He participated in the Erotic Art 66 show at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York.
